SpellForce: The Order of Dawn[]

During the Battle of Fiara, there were hardly any elves left in Leafshade. During the Convocation the elven settlements here were obliterated by the primal elements as well as through the intense battles. And whatever remained was destroyed by the forces of the Black Fist and the elves were forced to flee to Eloni.

The future Phoenix Bearer was able to use the human monument to create an army able to push back the Black Fist's forces. With the help of Sergeant Einar of house Utran, Leafshade was liberated and the leader of the Fist, Umuruk, was killed.

The only possibility through would be over the northern pass, aroudn the mountains. But that would mean marching right through the middle of Brannigan's forces. Three camps of the Black Fist are holding that trail

Geography[]

To the south of Leafshade a lush forest with a huge amount of resources such as stones and iron could be found. The rune warrior used these resources to create the human rune army to attack the Black Fist. Directly north a narrow passageway was blocking the further path. Some goblin scouts used this passage to see possible attackers and to warn their leaders.

Brannigan's hordes have been wreaking havoc in these lands for ages. In the old days, they were just common robbers but now they have new weapons, new armor ... and new commanders
Sinwen Whiteleaf about the changes

When going even futher north the first huge camp of the Black Fist could be found within the destroyed ruins of the former elven city. Lots of orcs and goblins had barricaded themselves within the palisades of the city.

Going east there is the huge bulwark of the orcs of the Black Fist led by the troll fighter Umuruk. But when going north there is a special place with lava in which the Master of Skeleton invoked undead such as the Fire Skeleton.

Inhabitants[]

There were not many surviving elves in the woods of Leafshade since most of them had fled to Eloni. Also the house Utran of Shiel had sent some fighters led in order to break the supply lines of the Black Fist.

SpellForce 3[]

The Corporal arrived at Leafshade to search for reinforcements for his cause. There he found out that the Morhir were suffering from an unknown corrupting plague. The wildlife and even a treant were affected as well. Within the village of Lathwêyn two scryers, Arlan Finrior and Varden Merelith, were discussing the future steps in how to deal with the illness.

Corporal Tahar investigated the matter and found out that it neither was a divine punishment nor the Bloodburn; instead it was some taintedness of nature itself. Pools of nature that once had been found brimming with power were bubbling with evil intend. With the help of the elves the Corporal cleansed the pools and restored the wildlife, the Morhir and even the Tainted Treant back sanity.

Human presence[]

To maintain the White Mist Treaty that had once been established between the Morhir and the Nortander kingdom, a small division of fighters had been stationed at Leafshade. They royal soldiers were led by Sergeant Ferentus Copper, an old fighter with connections to Scryer Arlan Finrior.

The soldiers would not turn onto the Morhir, but there were some fanatics - the Bane. Liliath was their leader and she urged Sergeant Ferentus Copper to act. According to her, the elves were heretics for having defiled Aonir's will. The royal army did not take part in the slaughter though and thus they were ambushed by Liliath's fanatics. The Corporal was able to fight back the Bane and destroyed their camp in Leafshade.

Geography[]

The jungle of Leafshade was almost entirely without civilization as the dangers born from wildlife creatures, demons and remains of old ruins were threatening the unsuspecting traveler. Beings such as giant bears, undead, spiders and even wyverns were roaming the jungles and attacking everyone on sight.

Lathweyn[]

After the elves of Finon Mir had set up their codex of behaviour to all elves, many left their brothers and sisters to live free from all these restrictions. The Morhir had founded lots of settlements in the wilderness where they continued there way of living, without being forced to live after the caste of Finon Mir.

After the Finon Mir exiled us, we were promised lands by the queen. Then the Mage Wars came and - understandably - our promised home was not of importance anymore.
Arlan Finrior about the queen's promise

Shrine of Barga Gor[]

LeafshadeSF3 Shrine

A shrine to an unknown god would summon malicious evil under certain conditions.

Southeast of Lathwêyn an old shrine could be found with an unknown purpose. Corporal Tahar found similar shrines devoted to the old gods of the huge volcano of Barga Gor: It would summon the Shadow of Barga Gor if the shrine is adjusted to point towards north.
