Within the Winterdeep the mosaic could be found to the north of the dwarven monument. There the undead fighter Guard of the Mosaic was watching over the mosaic to protect it from possible intruders.
The rune warrior had to defeat him and to find the first fragment of the Mosaic. The first fragment could be found in a chest to the south of the island close to the ghosts of Garvyn and Rogras fighting.
1st fragment[]
Inserting the first fragment into the mosaic would summon a couple of undead fighters to the east ot he island close to the portal to Tirganach. Defeating the keeper would reward the second fragment.
2nd fragment[]
Inserting the second fragment into the mosaic would summon a couple of undead fighters to the south of the island directly south of the main camp of the ghosts. Defeating the keeper would reward the third fragment.
3rd fragment[]
Inserting the third fragment into the mosaic would summon a couple of undead fighters to the south of the island close to the portal to Fastholme. Defeating the keeper would reward the fourth fragment.
4th fragment[]
Inserting the fourth fragment into the mosaic would summon a strong fighting force directly at the mosaic. They were led by the undead Master of the Mosaic which attacks using black magic. Also the undead are supported by goblin ghosts that would heal them. After the undead were defeated, the curse of the mosaic has been lifted.

Tips and Trick[]
- These undead are very powerful and scale up in levels with each fragment. Thus it is advised to level-up as well before going another round instead of forcing it.
- Against the undead it is really efficient to use moonsilver geared dwarves. Defenders can attack from distance and focus damage on priority targets and with Elite, Battlepriest and Elder units, you can deal great melee damage due to their abilities.
