Old Haalâyash was an area inhabited by Morhir elves after the Hybernian Empire's downfall during the War of the Six Races. During the Purity Wars it had been a battlefield between the Morhir and the Purity of Light.

Background information[]

During the era of the Hybernian Empire the area of Haalâyash was constructed by slaves in order to honor the god-emperor Chlerus the Blessed One. Lots of temples were constructed there and a considerable amount of civilians were living here.

After the hybernian empire's end[]

When the War of the Six Races broke out and the dark races were beginning their conquest on Fiara, the Hybernian Empire soldiers were fighting side-by-side with the Finon Mir elves and the dwarves of the Windwall Empire.

However they underestimated the Black Legion and the Fial Darg considerably. Many cities were devastated and even Haalâyash was raided and had to be abandoned. After the Fial Darg suffered their defeat at the Godwall with the guardian gods' intervention, the Hybernian Empire had come to an end and the now abandoned area of Haalâyash was never rebuild.

The Purity Wars[]

Several years later the Morhir that were exiled from Finon Mir attempted to establish a second settlement in Old Haalâyash. However they met with several difficulties: Not only did the Purity of Light enter the jungle to search for some kind of magic artefact left behind by the hybernians, there were even lots of Corrupted and also a strange fog that drained the life force of living beings.

While you were asleep, an elven messenger came by. Varden Merelith, one of the Morhir scryers from Leafshade, sent him. [...] They seem to be somewhere deep in the Leafshade jungle, near the Haalâyash ruins. [...] He only stated that he would need help

Miasma outbreak[]

Said fog turned out to be necromantic miasma that was invoked by Scryer Arlan Finrior in order to teach his tribe the "correct way of living" again. From his point of view the Morhir had turned their backs on their culture by having abandoned Elen and now living a life solely focussed on getting along in life. He had hoped that a bit of mortal danger would teach the elves and bring them back to a more faithful living style.

Out people... we had lost our way. The Guardians, Elen... they were all we had. They just ... do not see it. They think it was just our perseverance that made us survive throughout the years, but it was not. It was Elen... our mother. But they betrayed her... they forgot our origin, forgot what our culture was... was all about.
