The Stormcleaver Rocks was a secluded island located in Urgath inhabited by lots of wildlife creatures in SpellForce: The Breath of Winter.
Story information[]
After the rune warrior swore to Aedar Thalan to bring back the rune heroes Dunhan and Reowys, he first headed to the Stormcleaver Rocks because Willit told him that Dunhan had went there. Upon arriving there the local skerg told the rune warrior, Grim and Lena that Dunhan had surrounded himself with some Kithar fighters and had established a reign of terror on that island.
Dunhan had separated from the resistance due to their disagreement with Setrius about his love Janina. In a conflict Janina had been struck by a blade after Dunhan bursted out in anger. However he brought her back with an old ritual but she came back tainted with an old demon sealed within her. The future Shadow Warrior asked the help of the skerg Hulu and Setrius himself how to deal with the beast.
After the rune warrior had poisoned the water of the Kithar camp with the help of the Wildfire Poison, he then launched an attack on the camp. After having defeated the Kithar General, Dunhan could be found at a ritual site to the north. The rune warrior's group as well as Setrius and Janina confronted Dunhan. Dunhan went boiling mad and attacked his former love and killed her once more. But the released demon within her killed Dunhan in return and the rune warrior thus was able to obtain Dunhan's rune.
Killing an old beast[]
The orc Kongar of Mirraw Thur once had a brother who had gone to the Stormcleaver Rocks for hunting. However he died due to a terrific crawler, the Wumpus. The rune warrior took care of the beast after having confronted it in its lair. After having brought back the creature's tongue to Kongar he would thank the rune warrior for having avenged his brother.
Geography[]
The Stormcleaver Rocks were filled with lots of resources in the southern parts of the island. Next to the orc monument lots of wood and food could be found to establish a huge base in order to fight the Kithar. When going towards the north the lands become less open and filled with muddy swamps. Lots of crawlers and treewraiths were to be found in that area. In the very north a mountaineous path without any resources and only filled with spiders marked the northern border.
Kithar fortress[]
Dunhan's Kithar fighters had constructed a crude base surrounded by palisades. The base was filled with lots of fighters and the access to the camp was blocked by a stone gate. The Kithar General leading the fortress was one of Dunhan's most trusted subordinates. After their water had been poisoned by the Wildfire Poison of Setrius he Kithar went amok and thus the rangers of Setrius were able to take an advantage of them.
Skerg village[]
The skerg were a peaceful people ever since and the native inhabitants of Urgath since long times ago. Led by their supreme shaman Hulu the skerg of the Stormcleaver Rocks were living an uneventful life while being left alone by the Kithar and wildlife creatures alike. After Dunhan learnt of Hulu's involvement in Janina's treatment he sent out his Kithar to obliterate the village.
Resistance camp[]
Setrius, Janina and Dunhan had been members of the resistance for a long time before having come to the Stormcleaver Rocks. After Dunhan had separated himself due to Janina's accident, Setrius set up an encamptment of his rangers to the far north. After the future Shadow Warrior, Grim and Lena brought Janina to Setrius, he promised his help against his rogue brother.
