After the Phoenix Bearer had observed young Rohen travel through his Time Portal, she took the Phoenix Stone from the portal. She then traveled through the islands of Fiara and lived for a few years without any special events occurring. She then received a letter from Darius Servil: He told the Phoenix Bearer that strange things were taking place in the continent of Xu.
Talking to the Order of Dawn[]
He suggested the rune warrior to meet up with her at the Blackwater Coast. Upon having arrived there, Darius however was nowhere to be found but the rune warrior met with a fighter of the Order of Dawn. He needed to be rescued from an undead warrior and told the rune warrior, that he had come to the island together with Urias and other fighters from the Order.
The rune warrior then headed south and after having defeated a few wild beasts such as Crawlers and some minor undead, the rune warrior found the camp of the Order of Dawn. The gate to the camp was locked and the gatekeeper refused to let the Phoenix Bearer without his commander Urias' orders.
Rescuing Urias[]
Northeast of the bindstone the Phoenix Bearer found Urias chained by undead fighters. Once the undead has been killed and the camp has been obliterated, Urias was freed. He went back to the camp together with the rune warrior.
In the inside of the camp the rune warrior talked with Urias. He stated that he had been asked to come to Blackwater Coast by Darius too. But then their army was confronted with an army of undead led by the Lich King Anktahr. The most terrifying here were the neverending hordes because every slaughtered knight of the Order would come back as a spectre under the undeads' command.
Launching a counter-attack[]
And they would never remain unless being killed by divine power. Only a divine artefact, Aonir's Ring, was able to destroy the essence of an undead once and for all. Urias then accompanied the rune warrior towards the south and after having destroyed a few undead fighters, the Phoenix Bearer then found the ring at the corpse of Urias' former lieutenant and put it on.
Together then the rune warrior pushed to the east and obliterated the undead armies and pushed them back to the portal to the Onyx Shores. Upon having entered it, Urias and the Phoenix Bearer faced the Lich King Anktahr. He was a proficient mind mage but as strong melee fighter as well. Once the undead was killed, the rune warrior took his rune and the stone gate opened starting the follow-up quest Breakthrough to Empyria.
