When the rune warrior met the Spider Master in the Wildland Pass, he revealed to her that Warg, a fighter of the Black Fist, had stolen his magical flute. Without it he felt lonely and thus he wanted it back but sadly the orc commander surrounded himself with lots of warriors.

Going after Warg[]
The rune warrior accepted the mission since the Black Fist was her enemy anyway and prepared to engage the orc commanders troops at the narrow pass southeast of Skye.

The Spider Master then offered her to send some of his tamed spiders to distract the orcs so the rune warrior's army would have an easier battle. The future Phoenix Bearer prepared her own fighting forces and once she was ready, she ordered the Spider Master to dispatch his minions.
Once the spiders had engaged the orcs the elven rune army of the rune warrior engaged the orcs as well and terminated them. The orc leader Warg had the flute that the Spider Master had been looking for. When the rune warrior brought back the flute to the Spider Master, he was very thankful and rewarded the rune warrior with a Red Mask.
Tips and tricks[]
- Since the rune warrior might become the Spider Master's enemy during Master of the Spiders it is advised to finish this quest before offending the Spider Master. Also if possible it should be tried to have as many spiders killed as possible by the orcs at the pass before intervening so the Spider Master will have less spiders to defend himself.
Trivia[]
- Canonically the Phoenix Bearer had helped the Spider Master during this quest. This was shown when she met the Spider Master's ghost at the Dryad Cove in SpellForce: Shadow of the Phoenix.
